About Megan

Painting became really important to me after becoming a new mother. In that unique season of both joy and exhaustion, I had very little time for myself. I hadn't painted for years, but one evening, in our old run-down apartment, I decided to pull out my paints. I set them up on a nightstand beneath the yellow glow of a lamp and painted a small bluebonnet flower. In that quiet moment, I felt so much happiness and contentment.

Since then, I’ve tried to make time to paint every day. My work grows out of a desire to slow down and cherish the blessings of daily life. I want to remember to be fully present in the moments I might otherwise rush past, like the daily walks I take with my husband or the dirt soup I make in the backyard with my daughter. My paintings hold the invitation to slow down and make time for what matters most.
